This post is more about a blog I found on WordPress search. It gives a good literary sense of what technology exists to better classroom participation and make learning fun.

Beyond the interactive Whiteboard : very nice blog explaining what new technology is readily available. It is a continuing saga. I believe everyone who is interested in obtaining the right education should read. You may even get some ideas to bring to your own school or use it as a springboard to find schools already using this technology. Excellent read all 5 parts and I recommend it highly.

The journey goes on.

This site http://www.gocollege.com/admissions/ is loaded with excellent information on just about anything related to Career and College institutions. It has resources on how to get into college. What is the right way to manage your everyday college life. Student resources for financial aid. Exam taking. College entrance exam advice and much more.

Just a really well done blog/website on anything and everything information wise about colleges and universities. I wanted to post this because I found it would be of great interest to both potential college students and those who are already attending college. 2 thumbs up for a very well done and informative website.

More career oriented institution websites

My travels have brought me yet more good career oriented education websites.

MBAschools.com, http://www.mbaschools.com , Nice layout, easily navigated and a good choice of schools. Though I miss that search functionality Collegeanduniversity.net gave me. They do provide a State drop down box that sends you off to your state of residence. I like the articles and advice they provide. I give this site a 1 Thumbs up for providing actions, but lacking effortless usability. For Information value it is AWESOME. But hard to find exactly what your interested in, as in Career Institutions. But all in all a real good career informational web.

do-something.com , http://www.do-something.com , very nice to the point website. Immediately they give you an opportunity to choose an area of study. Then send you on your way to a form to provide as they pont out “Free Information”. While this really was nice for one subject in the vast array of hundreds of careers out there. It lacked the opportunity to choose more then 1 area of study before they whisked you off to a form. Overall design was very college like. But again I would have liked to have chosen more areas of study that may have fallen within the realms of my selected career choice. Again another 1 thumbs up for the obvious reasons. You make the call?

Edu.collegeanduniversity.net, http://edu.collegeanduniversity.net , Now this next one seems to be related to Collegeanduniversity.net, though not the exact same URL, it did send me to similar if not the same search results, based upon what I checked and the input of my zip and clicking submit. Very similar to do-something.com with one exception! I was able to choose or check more then one area of study and also input my zip, it also catered to my home state of California in the on page paragraph. Which then gave me real career oriented institutions in my area that served my desired choices. This was a huge plus in my opinion! I give this site a 2 thumbs up for quality information right down to my zip code, plus the ability to choose more then one area of study or program. Again you make the call?

Good sites for choosing career institutions

While looking for good information on Career Colleges and Schools. I found a few sites that offer either a vast array of information or get right to the point.

Sendmykidtocollege http://sendmykidtocollege.com , while very bland it did give me information on several colleges and universities, allot of Google and managed links to education related information. Plainly set me on the right path. Plus some information on EDU.gov and student finacial aid grants from the goverment. Right to the point site, not allot of fluff.

Worldwidelearn http://worldwidelearn.com , very nice site with allot of choices. They provide articles and career advice on most all occupations. The school choices are many. I give this site a 2 thumbs up. For the time and effort it must have taken to design this site.

Elearners http://elearners.com , a featured packed site with hundred and hundreds of choices. You are overwhelmed by the opportunities for an education they provide. They also have reviews on different occupations and schools. This itself intrigued me and kept me on the site. Allot of hard work went into this site as you will see. Again 2 thumbs up.

Collegeanduniversity.net , http://collegeanduniversity.net , good information on familiar schools. All the school forms had descriptions for every program or degree they offered, which I found very nice. Plus the front page education search enabled me to find schools right in my own zip code that catered to my expected career choice, good stuff. Easy to navigate and rich search results for online and distance learning schools. Again 2 thumbs up.

The search continues. I hope to update this whenever I find the time.
